A veteran of the branding, marketing, advertising industry, Mark Freid started his career as a writer, producer and director. Today, he is the founder of Happiness Counts (happinesscounts.com) and owner of Think Creative Inc. (thinkcreativeinc.com), an award-winning branding and marketing firm based in Orlando, Florida that is driven by a “Culture of Gratitude.”

Mark comes into the office every day with a single goal – to inspire the team to think creatively, work strategically and play nice (or else). He’s also in charge of convincing very one that even the craziest ideas are worth considering, a skill he uses on team members and clients alike. Of all the things Mark does, what he loves most is building teams, empowering individuals and helping clients find their souls…and go for their goals.

Over the course of Mark’s career, he has worked with international companies such as Sodexo, Synchrony Financial, Kimberly-Clark, Marriott, and Starwood; innovative products/retailers like Live Trends, Chamberlin’s Natural Food, Earth Origins Market and Akin’s Natural Foods; nonprofits and community change agents like the Smarter Tomorrow Foundation, the YMCA, OCPS, the Central Florida Commission on Homelessness and Upward Against Poverty; forward-thinking higher education institutions like the University of Central Florida, Rollins College, Embry-Riddle University and Greensboro College; and entrepreneurial innovators, including Chepenik Financial, Teros Financial and Keena Wealth.

Besides driving the Think Creative ship, Mark is also the Immediate Past President of the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida, writes short stories and runs long races (4 Ironman races, numerous marathons and ultra-distance trail runs, a run across the Grand Canyon and a run across the state of Florida). He and his team have also been the featured brand experts on the Travel Channel’s number one show, Hotel Impossible.

Mark is a frequent speaker and facilitator, focusing on topics such as social justice, organizational culture, branding and “being the exception” and has been named by the Orlando Sentinel as one of the “Central Florida 100,” community leaders who weigh in on what’s going on in Central Florida and the world. Mark earned a BA from Tulane University, a Certificate of Leadership Practice from Rollins College, and graduated from the Crummer Management Program, the Leadership Mastermind Alliance and the Corporate Athlete and Resilience Programs at the Human Performance Institute.

Mark is the father of Jacob (21), Sophie (20) and Joseph (15), and the husband of Stephanie. His favorite saying is, “Yes.” Followed by “Now let’s figure out how.
