The Orlando Economic Partnership’s Chief Operating Officer, Crystal Sircy, was honored with the Eunice Sullivan Economic Development Professional of the Year Award at the 2017 Florida Economic Development Conference. The prestigious award is given annually in recognition of the achievements of an outstanding economic developer within the state of Florida.
Crystal has more than twenty-five years of economic development experience. In the last two decades, she has helped to establish more than 2,000 economic development projects, which projected to create 295,000 new Florida jobs and $31 billion in capital investment. Among several legacy projects, she helped recruit and grow projects for Embraer, Navy Federal Credit Union, Northrop Grumman and DTCC. Before Enterprise Florida, she held positions at the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, the Florida Department of Commerce and in private industry.
During the ceremony, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at JAXUSA Partnership and Florida Economic Development Council Chair Cathy Chambers said, “Crystal is the most accomplished state business development lead in Florida’s history. She is a tireless advocate for economic development issues, and has testified many times in front of Florida House and Senate committees. Economic developers from around the state have relied on her to mentor them. Her contributions to our state are too numerous to count.”
An active speaker and leader in numerous economic development organizations, Crystal serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida Economic Development Council (FEDC) and is a member of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC) and CoreNet Global. She has been named a Trendsetter by Florida Trend.
