The Orlando Economic Development Commission celebrated the opening of CVS Health‘s new facility by attending an official ribbon cutting event with Governor Rick Scott, Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs and other community leaders and company representatives.CVS Health, a pharmacy innovation company, is increasing its presence in the Orlando region by creating 500 new jobs over the next two years.
CVS Health’s 112,000-square-foot facility will support the company’s existing specialty pharmacies by providing customers with disease education; pharmacy and medication counseling; benefits verification; medication dispensing; and coordination of care with multiple healthcare providers. CVS Health is hiring pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and administrative staff.
The company first announced the expansion in 2015.
