Orlando, Fla. – DWM Facilities Maintenance, a national provider of facilities maintenance services, announced today the opening of a new office in Orlando to help facilitate DWM’s recent growth. The company, which is based in New York, will create 10 new jobs in the region over the next year with plans to continue to grow.
“We are so excited to begin this new chapter,” said David Meeks, founder and president of DWM. “Orlando’s growth and history of heightened customer experiences marries well with our growth plans and our culture of problem-solving. Expanding into Orlando gives DWM the opportunity to select employees from two labor markets, ensuring we have the best of the best servicing our clients.”
Employees in the DWM Orlando office will focus on customer service and will work directly with the team based in Albany to function seamlessly. The new office is located at 7009 University Blvd, Winter Park, FL 32792.
“Our goal is to make it feel as if the two offices are next door to each other rather than a thousand miles away,” said Brian Whitt, chief operating officer. “We are utilizing cutting edge communications tools to make this happen, but the most crucial aspect is duplicating the culture of DWM. So, the Orlando office will look and feel like our headquarters. We are making sure that our new Orlando employees are able to enjoy all the little things that make DWM who we are as well.”
“Our region’s outstanding assets played a large role in attracting DWM,” said Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs. “From our exceptional airport – which provides daily, non-stop flights to the company’s headquarters location – to our business-friendly environment and welcoming tax climate, Central Florida was the standout spot for DWM’s positive growth.”
The Orlando Economic Partnership worked with the company to provide connections to vital partners including Enterprise Florida and CareerSource Central Florida.
“One of Central Florida’s greatest economic strengths lies in its business and industry diversity, which includes global conglomerates, niche industries, and cutting-edge innovators. CareerSource Central Florida is proud to offer a diversity of services to local and expanding businesses like DWM Facilities Maintenance, which utilized our team, facilities, and recruiting resources to staff its Orlando office,” said CareerSource Central Florida President/CEO Pamela Nabors. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with DWM as they plant roots and seek to grow in our community.”
“DWM could have chosen any place in the U.S. to expand its business,” said Crystal Sircy, executive vice president of the Orlando Economic Partnership. “They chose Orlando because of the quality of our labor pool and the skills required to support their growth.”
DWM Facilities Maintenance has grown significantly appearing in the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies in the United States the past three years. DWM currently employs over 70 people and services nearly 40,000 locations across North America.
