New data center developments with a critical IT load of 15 MW+ and a critical IT load of 1 megawatt or higher dedicated to each individual owner or tenant will not have to pay sales and use tax in the State of Florida beginning July 1.
The state approved a tax package that introduces sales and use tax exemptions to properties, equipment and electricity used at data centers with a capital investment of $150 million and above.
