Orlando, Fla.TOPdesk, a global provider of enterprise service management technology, is expanding its Orlando-based workforce and moving into new office space in Orlando’s Quadrangle near the University of Central Florida (UCF). The company is more than doubling its current workforce, planning to add 30 new, high-wage jobs by the end of 2022 with additional expansion plans in the works. These jobs will pay more than 125 percent of the current average wage in Orange County.

“TOPdesk is excited to be expanding its capabilities to better serve clients in the U.S. market,” said Ruben J. Franzen, president at TOPdesk USA. “The company has seen incredible growth in its technology offerings over the past few years and is well-positioned to take advantage of the growing demand for service management solutions.”

Orlando has remained a great source of tech and customer service talent and we look forward to continuing to grow both our workforce and engagement in the Orlando community.”

TOPdesk produces award-winning software that allows organizations to manage how they provide services to internal users. Its solutions include self-service helpdesk solutions, asset management, ticket management and reporting, and hardware and software maintenance. TOPdesk works across several sectors, including government services, education, retail, business services, facility management and others.

The company was founded in 1993 by two Dutch students working as university helpdesk operators and has since grown to more than 900 employees across 17 offices worldwide. The company established its Orlando office in 2015 to take advantage of the U.S. market while providing the company with a centralized location in North America. The company originally selected Orlando because of its direct flights to The Netherlands, excellent air access throughout the U.S. and an available, talented tech workforce. The company continues to find success hiring local tech talent and partners with nearby UCF on its internship program.

“Orange County is a phenomenal international business destination and it’s a great place to live, work and play,” said Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings. “As one of the most internationally traveled locations in the world, companies like TOPdesk have found success in Central Florida because of its centralized access to North America and the rest of the world.”

We are proud that TOPdesk chose to expand its footprint here in Orange County.

The Orlando Economic Partnership worked with TOPdesk to strengthen its talent recruitment efforts through an introduction to Valencia College and information on recruiting, training, and career fairs. The Partnership also assisted on site selection through site location information and an introduction to a real estate broker to help secure the company’s new space.

“TOPdesk is a great example of a growing international tech company finding continued success here in the Orlando region,” said Tim Giuliani, president and CEO of the Orlando Economic Partnership. “We are thrilled to congratulate TOPdesk on its growth and expansion in our market.”

TOPdesk has outgrown its office space at 12301 Lake Underhill Road and is moving its office location close by to 3501 Quadrangle Boulevard. The company took advantage of favorable commercial real estate opportunities created by the recent shift to work-from-home environments, investing in new Class A office space for its employees. TOPdesk has remained dedicated to its employee’s safety and well-being during the COVID pandemic, prioritizing employee health over returning to its office work environment. The company plans to open its new office space in April 2022.

TOPdesk has been recognized for its outstanding culture and community support, awarded the 2020 and the 2021 Tech Cares Award by customer voice and insights platform TrustRadius. The awards celebrate organizations for going “above and beyond” for its clients, communities served, and employees during the COVID-19 crisis.
