The Orlando Economic Partnership (OEP) announces the hiring of Bob O’Malley as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs. In this new role, O’Malley will report directly to Tim Giuliani, President and CEO of the OEP, overseeing the organization’s efforts to advocate for policies and investments that promote economic growth and prosperity across the Orlando region.

Orlando, Fla. – The Orlando Economic Partnership (OEP) announces the hiring of Bob O’Malley as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs. In this new role, O’Malley will report directly to Tim Giuliani, President and CEO of the OEP, overseeing the organization’s efforts to advocate for policies and investments that promote economic growth and prosperity across the Orlando region.
O’Malley brings decades of experience in public affairs, government relations, and transportation policy. He is highly regarded for his expertise in managing complex transportation issues, public infrastructure projects, and crisis communications. Before joining OEP, O’Malley held executive positions with CSX Transportation, Brightline Trains, Sachs Media Group, and MetroPlan Orlando, where he successfully advanced key initiatives and developed strong relationships with government agencies, businesses, and local communities.

O’Malley’s leadership will play a critical role in advancing OEP’s priorities across local, state, and federal levels, as well as working with diverse stakeholders to foster economic development and tackle key regional challenges. He has successfully led initiatives such as the development of the Sunshine Corridor, securing tax credits and bond allocations for high-speed rail projects in Florida, California and Nevada, and securing legislative approval for CSX’s sale of railroad corridors for SunRail. Bob also has extensive experience in business development, crisis communications, and community outreach.
