Orlando, Fla. – The Orlando Economic Partnership (OEP) is pleased to announce key staff promotions and a significant leadership transition that will shape the organization’s future.
Danielle Permenter, vice president of talent and community development is now the chief development officer for the community and economic development organization. In her new role, Permenter will oversee OEP’s strategic work in the areas of programs and events, investor retention and engagement, and marketing and communications.
Permenter has been a driving force behind the OEP’s talent and community development initiatives, including UpSkill Orlando and Leadership Orlando as well as the organization’s programs and events. A Florida State University graduate and recognized as one of Orlando Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, Permenter also contributes to the ACCE Education & Workforce Development Fellowship and the U.S. Chamber Foundation’s Talent Pipeline Management National Learning Network.

Destin Wells has been promoted to senior vice president of economic development. Since joining the OEP, Wells has been a key player in helping businesses expand and/or relocate to the Orlando region, spearheading transformational economic development that incorporates site development, international and innovation focused efforts. His leadership has been vital in driving targeted job creation, fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem, supporting business growth, and strengthening talent pipelines.
Notably, Wells has led the semiconductor cluster initiative in collaboration with Osceola County, BRIDG, Florida High Tech Corridor, imec, University of Central Florida, University of Florida, Valencia College and CareerSource Central Florida working to build a competitive semiconductor industry that significantly boosts Central Florida’s economy and enhances U.S. economic and national security.
