The first of its kind assessment will identify the region’s talent needs to meet both short-term employer demand and the long-term aspirations outlined in the Orlando 2045 Vision.

Orlando, Fla. – The Orlando Economic Partnership (OEP) is launching the first of its kind Orlando Regional Talent Supply Analysis, a comprehensive assessment aimed at identifying the region’s talent needs to meet both short-term employer demand and the long-term aspirations outlined in the Orlando 2045 Vision.
This talent supply analysis will provide a clear roadmap for preparing the region’s workforce to thrive in a rapidly evolving economic landscape. The analysis will be completed, in part, through the OEP’s Q2 2025 Orlando MSA Business Conditions Survey that can be accessed here. The survey takes 10 minutes to complete and will remain open until June 30, 2025. Businesses located within the Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) of Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Lake Counties are encouraged to participate.
“As the fastest-growing metropolitan area in the United States, the region faces both immense opportunities and complex challenges that are coming at us fast.”
Tim Giuliani,
OEP President and CEO
“As we continue to add 1,000 people to our population every week, and expect to hit 4 million by 2045, we need to align and shape this influx of people to the economy of the future, and we can do that by studying our market and using data and research to guide our strategy,” said OEP President and CEO Tim Giuliani.
The talent supply study is part of the OEP’s commitment to building a global creative capital and follows insights shared at the 2045 Regional Leadership Conference.
The Regional Talent Supply Analysis will focus on three distinct groups that make up Orlando’s workforce:
- Current residents actively participating in the labor market
- Newcomers who move to the region annually
- Recent graduates entering the workforce each year
By mapping projected workforce supply to industry and occupational forecasts, the analysis will pinpoint any significant gaps and propose strategic actions to address them. The project will also consider emerging trends like artificial intelligence (AI) and automation to determine the critical skills needed in Orlando’s economy by 2045.
“Talent is the engine that drives economic development.”
Neil Hamilton,
Vice President of Research & Strategy
“This milestone analysis of the Orlando region’s workforce will help identify actions this community can take today to make sure we lead the economy of tomorrow,” said Neil Hamilton, Vice President of Research & Strategy.
The analysis will combine quantitative data from secondary sources with qualitative insights from local employers gathered through the Q2 2025 Orlando MSA Business Conditions Survey.
The final report is expected to be published in the Fall and will provide actionable recommendations to ensure Orlando’s workforce is prepared for future economic opportunities.
