Orlando continues to prove itself as a destination for companies seeking forward-looking environments that support growth, innovation, and talent. The latest example comes as Siemens Energy, a global leader in energy technology, announces plans to relocate its U.S. Headquarters, currently located in the Research Park near the University of Central Florida to Orlando’s Lake Nona.

This move marks a significant investment in the Orlando region’s future, reinforcing the region’s reputation as a hub for global headquarters and high-wage job creation. Siemens Energy’s new campus will be designed for collaboration, sustainability, and modern workplace needs, while being immersed in Lake Nona’s walkable, connected district surrounded by restaurants, hotels, wellness amenities, and vibrant public spaces.

With more than 13,000 employees across North America, Siemens Energy has been part of Orlando’s business community for over 40 years. The relocation to Lake Nona, slated for 2027, will ensure the company’s continued growth while maintaining its strong Orlando presence. The new facility will also support Siemens Energy’s hybrid work model and provide an enhanced experience for its nearly 3,000 local employees.

“Our technologies and services are in high demand throughout North America and this new campus will help facilitate our growth.”

“Lake Nona offers a modern workplace environment, including flexible workspaces, improved collaboration zones and meeting rooms, enhanced technology and better amenities in a more sustainable and energy-efficient building,” Siemens Energy said.

This milestone was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Tavistock/Lake Nona, the City of Orlando, the Orlando Economic Partnership, and the Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC), partners who are helping shape the region’s future by creating the conditions where companies and their employees can thrive.

“Siemens Energy’s decision to relocate its Orlando offices to Lake Nona is a testament to the strength of our tech ecosystem and reaffirms our region’s reputation as one of the best places in the country for company headquarters to grow and succeed.”

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer

“Energy drives everything we do and ultimately plays a key role in advancing the technologies of other key industries, including health and life sciences, technology and innovation, aviation and aerospace, and wellness and human performance, which is why Siemens Energy, who is a global leader in energy technology, is the perfect addition to Lake Nona’s innovation hub,” said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer.

Lake Nona itself is one of the nation’s most dynamic innovation communities, home to clusters of excellence in health, life sciences, sports, technology, and education. For Siemens Energy, being part of this ecosystem provides a state-of-the-art office space and a unique advantage in talent recruitment, employee wellbeing, and long-term success.

“Moments like this fuel our drive every day in Lake Nona.”

“Lake Nona continues to shape the future of business and attract both startups and global industry leaders, where companies thrive alongside the people who power them, with wellbeing, family, and quality of life at the heart of everything we build. We’re excited to welcome Siemens Energy as part of our future,” said Rasesh Thakkar, senior managing director of Tavistock Group, Lake Nona’s parent company.

The Orlando Economic Partnership supported the company with research and market analysis, evaluation of local incentive opportunities, and introductions to community partners, and will continue helping through occupancy and ongoing operations.

“We congratulate Siemens Energy on this exciting new chapter and thank them for more than 40 years of investment in the Orlando region.”

Tim Giuliani, President and CEO of the Orlando Economic Partnership

“Having a global brand of Siemens Energy’s caliber not only choose to remain here, but expand into Lake Nona, sends a powerful message about the strength of our business climate and the opportunities ahead. Their decision reinforces Orlando as a place where global companies grow, innovate, and thrive and we are proud to continue this partnership as they shape the future of energy right here in our community,” said Tim Giuliani, president and CEO of the Orlando Economic Partnership.

The relocation also leverages Orlando’s unmatched connectivity and immediate access to Orlando International Airport, Brightline high-speed rail, and major roadways that connect to the state’s business corridors and global markets.

At the Orlando Economic Partnership, we are proud to have played a role in supporting Siemens Energy’s move and look forward to the impact this global leader will continue to have in advancing energy innovation while fueling Orlando’s economy.
