Lockheed Martin will serve as title sponsor at Orlando-Sanford International Airport
Orlando, Fla. – The first-ever Lockheed Martin Space and Air Show will take to the sky at Orlando-Sanford International Airport October 31 through November 1, 2020. Lockheed Martin serves as the title-sponsor for the show headlined by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and featuring numerous company air, ground and space assets.

Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB), the City of Sanford and Seminole County partnered on the show, which is the Orlando region’s first airshow in nearly three decades and is expected to attract thousands of aviation and aerospace enthusiasts from the across the region.
“We are excited to welcome the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds to the first air show in more than 25 years at the Orlando Sanford International Airport,” said City of Sanford Mayor Jeff Triplett. “Having Lockheed Martin as the title Sponsor takes it to a level above and beyond anything seen in the past.”
“Seminole County is excited to be a collaborative partner in bringing the Space and Air Show to Sanford in 2020,” said Seminole County Chairman Brenda Carey. “It will provide the educational aspects of aviation as well as an exciting air show including The Thunderbirds, who will demonstrate their awesome skills with pride, precision and professionalism of American Airmen.”
Commander/Leader of the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, Lt. Col. John Caldwell, is in his first season with the team and hails from Orlando. In addition to flying the No. 1 jet, and leading all air demonstrations, he commands the 130-person squadron.
