Presented by the Orlando Economic Partnership
Skills-based hiring can help fill jobs quickly, retain talent, diversify an organization’s talent pipeline and provide a greater awareness of skill attainment and critical upskilling needs. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, employers are turning to skills-based hiring to tap into the increasing talent availability created by layoffs and job losses.
Danielle Permenter, senior director of regional talent initiatives, will host Trevor Pruitt, manager of employer initiatives at Skillful – A Markle Foundation Initiative, for an in-depth conversation on the tactical skills-based hiring strategies employers can implement to help attract, hire and retain talent in Orlando.
Skillful is a non-profit initiative of the Markle Foundation dedicated to helping all Americans, particularly those without a four-year college degree, secure good jobs in a changing economy through skills-based training.
