Everyday life is changing because of COVID-19. The threat of the illness should be taken very seriously, and I hope you are doing what our health experts recommend:
- Limit social contact,
- Practice healthy hygiene,
- Go into self-quarantine if you’ve traveled internationally recently.
- Bottom line – stay home as much as possible.
We all need to be doing our part to flatten the curve and slow the spread of the virus, so our healthcare system isn’t overrun by thousands of new cases all at once. Health and well-being is the primary focus. But I’m hearing from our local businesses, large and small, and I know you need support and guidance.
We at the Orlando Economic Partnership have a resource that can help. Please visit Orlando.org/Covid19. This is a one-stop shop with information, resources, links and stories about what companies around our region are doing to prepare and cope. Please check it out and let us know what else we can do to help your business. Our lines of communication are open, and we are engaged in the need to seriously and truthfully confront the facts. If you have another way to help, we want to hear from you. Please email BusinessHelp@orlando.org to share a solution or provide context on some of the many issues we seek to address.
We’ve also just launched a business survey – aimed at collecting data that can better inform public policies, push future stimulus packages and help our Orlando regional community get through this global crisis.
It’s important for you to know that the Partnership’s full resources and staff are working around the clock to serve you. We must all adapt – and together we can minimize the impact that COVID –19 has on our community.
Please visit Orlando.org/covid19 for guidance, resources and more information.
