KPMG Lakehouse opened in 2020 and since then, thousands of employees have come through the facility every year

KPMG Lakehouse Lake Nona

KPMG, a global leader in providing audit, tax, and advisory services, established its presence in Orlando’s Lake Nona more than a decade ago.

“In 2013, our leaders made the important decision to establish a national training and innovation center committed to training our more than 36,000 employees here in the U.S,” Isaac Juarez, Orlando Managing Partner, KPMG US, said.

Juarez said KPMG chose Orlando’s Lake Nona for many reasons.

1. Lake Nona is an innovation hub

Orlando’s Lake Nona is known for innovation. The master-planned community provides the right culture and future-forward thinking vision to foster an innovative and collaborative environment for employee training.

2. The proximity to the airport

KPMG Lakehouse is located just five miles from Orlando International Airport, allowing the firm to fly directly to 75 percent of its other office locations. In addition, the new Brightline high speed rail connection opens more opportunities for accessibility.

There’s no better place than Orlando to collaborate.

“With the number of international flights available to us and now with the connection with Brightline to Miami, we’re connected to all of these important business centers,” Juarez said.

3. Orlando’s diverse talent pool

There are more than 500,000 higher-education students within 100 miles of Orlando. Juarez said KPMG taps into that diverse talent pool to find the best employees to join their team.

“With thousands of graduates in the Orlando region, we enjoy recruiting the best of the best across a wide range of areas, from accounting to I.T. to data analytics and sales and marketing,” he said.

4. Orlando’s business-friendly environment

In the past two years, Juarez said they have added more than 1,000 new jobs. He credits this growth to the Orlando region’s business-friendly environment.

In addition to the business factors, Juarez adds Orlando provides a great quality of life for residents, from recreational to enjoying the region’s diverse culinary options.

“I believe that Orlando is a great place to raise your family. It’s a great place to develop your hobbies, like hiking, biking, and taking advantage of the outdoors and everything the city has to offer, including its famous restaurants and a variety of cuisine options across the region,” he said.
